Our Board of Directors

 

SPROUT is in the process of constituting a Board. We are searching for volunteers from all walks of life in Tuscaloosa with non-profit and/or education experience and passion.  Representatives of underserved communities are especially welcome.



Board members are asked to attend infrequent meetings and provide their expertise in helping SPROUT reach its goals.  Community members who cannot attend meetings may also serve on a non-voting advisory board.

Desired Board members might be:

• College professors, staff, or students in STREAM or education fields

• Tuscaloosa City or County school system administration, staff, or teachers

• Private school administration, staff, or teachers

• School board members

• Parents of public, private, or homeschooled children

• Employees or facilitators of STREAM programs

• Organizers of faith-based education programs

• Lawyers and accountants with non-profit experience

• Businesspeople with an interest in STREAM education

• Grantwriters
